Ground Anchors
Without a suitable anchor point, a winch is all but useless. As such, a ground anchor like the portable rescue tree is a worthwhile investment. Employed by a number of Australian Emergency services. the PRT weighs just 14kgs, can easily be carried over distance, and folds away neatly for storage.
Winch Cable Dampers
While winch cables sold by ARB are exceptionally strong, safety precautions must be observed to avoid injury in the event of cable failure. Manufactured from heavy duty vinyl, an ARB winch cable damper will absorb most of the recoil in the unlikely event of the cable breaking.
